AEON Protect Plus Eye Drops – Preservative-Free Dry Eye Relief (10ml)

$39.00 NZD

Advanced, long-lasting lubrication for moderate to severe dry eye, sensitive eyes and ocular surface protection.

AEON Protect Plus is a premium, preservative-free lubricating eye drop formulated with 0.3% cross-linked sodium hyaluronate (hyaluronic acid) to provide intensive hydration and longer-lasting relief from dry eye symptoms.

Unlike conventional hyaluronic acid eye drops, AEON Protect Plus uses cross-linked technology designed to help the lubricant remain on the ocular surface for longer, providing sustained moisture and comfort.

Originally developed with the needs of patients undergoing eye surgery in mind, AEON Protect Plus is also an excellent option for people experiencing persistent dryness, irritation, grittiness or fluctuating vision.

Key Benefits

  • 0.3% cross-linked hyaluronic acid – advanced lubrication designed for longer-lasting hydration and comfort.
  • Preservative-free – ideal for sensitive eyes and people requiring regular eye drop use.
  • Phosphate-free formulation – particularly beneficial when protecting a compromised ocular surface.
  • Moderate to severe dry eye relief – helps relieve dryness, burning, grittiness and irritation.
  • Pre- and post-operative eye care – designed to support ocular surface lubrication before and after ophthalmic procedures.
  • Long-lasting moisture – particularly useful for people experiencing persistent dryness or discomfort later in the day.
  • Contact lens compatible – suitable for use with contact lenses, according to product guidance.

Who Is AEON Protect Plus Suitable For?

AEON Protect Plus may be particularly beneficial for:

  • People experiencing moderate to severe dry eye disease.
  • Patients with persistent dryness despite using standard lubricating drops.
  • People with sensitive eyes who prefer preservative-free formulations.
  • Patients preparing for or recovering from cataract or refractive eye surgery, under their clinician's guidance.
  • Contact lens wearers experiencing dryness or discomfort.
  • People whose dry eye symptoms are aggravated by screen use, air conditioning, heating or environmental conditions.

Why We Like AEON Protect Plus at Illume

At Illume Eye Care, we recognise that not all lubricating eye drops are the same.

AEON Protect Plus stands out for its cross-linked hyaluronic acid technology, which provides a longer-lasting lubricating effect than conventional sodium hyaluronate formulations are designed to deliver.

We particularly like its preservative-free, phosphate-free formulation for patients who require more intensive ocular surface lubrication, including those with persistent dry eye symptoms or who are undergoing eye surgery.

While lubricating drops can provide important symptom relief, they don't necessarily address the underlying cause of dry eye. For patients with meibomian gland dysfunction (MGD), inflammation or reduced tear production, additional treatment may be needed.

How to Use

Instil one drop into the affected eye or eyes as required, or as recommended by your optometrist or ophthalmologist.

Avoid touching the bottle tip to your eye, eyelids or fingers. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for first use, storage and disposal after opening.
